Saint Barnabas offers religious education for all ages from ages three to 18, and sacramental preparation. Check out the different offerings below and contact the parish office for more information and to register.
For ages 3-6 we offer the Level 1 section of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) This form of catechesis seeks to engage a students mind, heart, and senses as they discover and explore the mysteries of our Faith. If you are interested in having your child participate in the CGS class here at St Barnabas, please contact the parish office to register your child.
For chidren in ages 7 through 12 (grades 2-7), we offer catehcesis and sacramental preparation. Please contact the parish office if you would like to register your child for religious education.
All teens and near-teens are invited to join our “Socrateen Society.” Meetings are held each Sunday morning between 9:00 and 10:00. Members enjoy engaging in discussion and debate of theology, liturgy, history, literature, and current events in the world and the Church. All discussions are Socratic in nature, and are moderated by Deacon Patrick Simons who is a homeschooling husband and father of nine children.
